“Montessori is my passion and my home. I believe it is the optimum way to provide children of all ages with a relevant and meaningful education for our world and their place within it. Greenspring is a community that shares this vision and will enable me to practice Montessori principles and values so positively impacting the lives of children and their families.”
Shelley Cruse is the Education Director at Greenspring Montessori School. She is a passionate Montessorian and a life-long learner and she has over 25 years of experience in both public and independent schools. Shelley joined our team in 2020 as a Lower Elementary Guide in the Mulberry classroom. She quickly fell in love with our community and realized her desire to learn more about school leadership.
Fifteen of Shelley’s years of experience are in Montessori schools. Prior to joining our team, Shelley served as a Lower Elementary Guide at the Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School. At the Montessori School of Raleigh, she served as an Assistant in both Toddler and Children’s House classes and as a Lower Elementary Lead Guide. She has also worked as a Reading Support Specialist and a Parent Educator.
Outside of school, Shelley enjoys hiking with her two large dogs and her family. She also enjoys cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and animals of all kinds.
