“I want every child to feel loved, valued, and like their dreams, thoughts, and feelings matter. It’s important to me that students have the space to independently explore what excites them, while also learning to respect and celebrate the passions of their classmates – especially when they are different from their interests.”
Angela Roberts is a Floating Classroom Partner at Greenspring Montessori School and is pursuing a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Towson University. She is passionate about encouraging children’s natural curiosity about the world around them and teaching them how to be kind to themselves and others.
In Angela’s previous life, she worked as a health journalist for The Baltimore Sun and The Frederick News-Post, where she developed an interest in supporting people through grief and trauma. She volunteers as a troop leader for Girl Scouts Beyond Bars, a program that helps daughters of incarcerated women spend time and bond with their mothers.
When Angela is not working, she is likely outdoors. She loves to go for walks and hikes, crochet and learn new crafting skills. She is always looking for podcast and book recommendations. Ask her to see photos of her two elderly cats, Gus and Mr. Mayor!
