Lorna is a Spanish Dual Language Children’s House Partner at Greenspring Montessori School. As a native Spanish speaker from Venezuela, Lorna is excited to share her language and culture with our Children’s House students. She also leads our Children’s House Spanish Cooking Club after school which the children love! Lorna studied at the Experimental University of Guyana Branch in Bolivar City, Venezuela, and has lived in Athens, Greece and New York City.
Prior to joining our community, Lorna worked as a nanny and Spanish teacher for a one year old who was learning Greek, English, and Spanish at the same time. During this time, she enjoyed reading books, offering stimulating didactic toys, dancing and singing, and gardening.
In her free time, Lorna loves cooking healthy recipes and working out. She enjoys going for long walks and connecting with the natural world. Lorna enjoys learning about new cultures, people, and food through her travels.
