Shannon Brown is a Children’s House Guide at Greenspring Montessori School. She started at our school in 1996 as a Children’s House Assistant. Shannon has also served as a Field Supervisor and Instructor in our former Montessori training center, the Maryland Center for Montessori Studies, and a Montessori Validator for the state of Maryland.

Shannon received her AMS Early Childhood Certificate from our own Maryland Center for Montessori Studies and her AMI Primary Certification from The Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) in Connecticut.

In her time off, Shannon teaches workshops on yoga, peace, and music. In her classroom, she loves incorporating music and movement into the daily experiences of the children.

Shannon is dedicated to yoga and mindful awareness. She loves reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
